Just...my thoughts...

I am the poster child for what not to do in college.

Last semester, I was taking a full load (18 hours), working 2 jobs, and planning a wedding.

This semester, I’m taking 22 hours, working 2 jobs, planning a move, and preparing for my husband to deploy for a year.

That being said, I need to stop using the above statement as an excuse, but honestly, I don’t feel like there’s enough time in the day, but at the same time, I can’t afford to sacrifice school or work, and I have to deal with my husband leaving and we must get into our own apartment. There’s no wiggle room. And it’s hard for me to prioritize because I feel like there’s always so much to do, there’s always a new assignment or worse a new group assignment being given, and when I do use my time, I either only want to focus on our new apartment or I just want to sleep.

I said all that to say, don’t do college like I’m doing it. Don’t overload yourself. Don’t allow life to stress you out. Don’t be like me, but at the same time, at least I’ll be graduating with two degrees in less than a year and I’ll be done. A lot of times, that’s my motivation. That I will have two degrees, I should be able to find a job, I won’t be a bum, and I will be able to take care of myself and contribute to my household…that’s what keeps me going.

In a nutshell, don’t do it like I did, but do get it done.
